KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg today paid a courtesy call on Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar ahead of the state government cabinet meeting (MMKN).
During the meeting at the Head of State’s official residence at Kasuma Resort, Petra Jaya, the Premier briefed him and sought his views on key working papers and agenda items to be tabled, in line with established constitutional practice.
The nearly one-hour meeting served as a platform for the Premier to present and discuss policy papers and strategic matters scheduled for deliberation by the cabinet, in line with procedural requirements and longstanding convention.
Both leaders also exchanged views on the latest progress in the implementation of government policies, as well as several strategic issues concerning development initiatives and the well-being of the people.
The discussion was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, underscoring the close institutional relationship and strong cooperation between the Office of the Head of State and the state’s executive leadership.
