KUCHING: Bintulu muaythai athlete, Awangku Abdul Rahman or better known as “Aman Koboi”, has credited his team for his unanimous decision victory over Indonesia’s Weerian in the UCC kickstriking bout at Byon Madness Vol 3 in Indonesia on Feb 28.

Aman Koboi set the tone early by dropping Weerian with an elbow strike in the first round before controlling much of the contest with leg sweeps, low-kick exchanges and well-timed counters to seal the judges’ verdict.

Following the bout, Aman Koboi described the win as a collective achievement rather than an individual one.

“This journey is never about one person. It’s about the team behind the fighter,” he wrote in a Facebook post.

He thanked his sponsors for backing him throughout the fight camp and expressed appreciation to his teammates at Bintulu Fight Team, saying every sparring session and hard workout contributed to the result.

Aman Koboi also acknowledged the role of Coach Farid from Kelab PS Muaythai for his behind-the-scenes work, as well as his corner team, Coaches Alex Aksima and Eric E.X.E, for guiding him during the fight.

He further thanked Sapphire Gym for continued support and Team Maysville members who travelled to be ringside.

Aman Koboi also expressed gratitude to organisers Byon Combat for the opportunity to compete, praising the professionalism and hospitality of the event team.

“Live and fight. Never give up as long as you can,” he said.
