KUCHING: A local man was arrested during a police raid on an entertainment outlet operating without a valid licence at Saradise, Jalan Stutong, on Feb 28.
Kuching police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the operation was carried out by personnel from the district Criminal Investigation Department (CID) under Op Noda-Op Pusat Hiburan.
During the raid, he said, 17 individuals were inspected at the premises.
“One local man was detained for failing to produce a permit and for conducting entertainment activities without a licence.
“Police also seized musical equipment belonging to the premises,” he said in a statement.
Alexson said monitoring and enforcement would continue to ensure entertainment operators comply with regulations set by authorities.
He advised operators in the district to obtain valid public entertainment licences and to adhere strictly to approved operating hours.
