KUCHING: Kabilan “The Hunter” Jelevan delivered a stunning first-round TKO over Kallens “The Showtime” Barthez with a crushing left hook at the Byon Madness Vol 3 in Studio 6 Emtek City, Jakarta on Saturday (Feb 28).
The Sarawakian seized control from the opening minute, surging forward with sharp jabs and combinations to break through Kallens’ defence.
In the heat of battle, the Sabahan briefly responded with a low kick and counter, but Kabilan kept the pressure on and waited for his opening as they continued to trade blows.
That golden moment for victory came with a perfectly timed left hook that sent the Sabahan athlete crashing to the canvas.
The referee immediately stopped the contest as Kallens was deemed unfit to carry on, with the bout lasting less than two minutes of the first round.
It was Kabilan’s third appearance with Byon Combat, where he once again thrived under the bright lights.
In a post-match interview, the Sarawakian fighter called out Fahri Alamsyah for a rematch where he lost to the latter by unanimous decision in November 2025.
The all-Borneo clash on Indonesian soil underlined the growing presence of Bornean fighters on the international stage, with representatives from Sarawak and Sabah proving they can compete and headline on major platforms beyond home ground.
