KUCHING: About 400 stakeholders from government agencies, industry partners and the media gathered for a breaking-of-fast event hosted by Sarawak Energy in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan.
The annual gathering, at Sheraton hotel here on Thursday (Mar 5), brought together key partners to strengthen collaboration and foster closer ties in support of the state’s development agenda.
The event was graced by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
Among those present were Deputy Minister for Utility (Sarawak Energy and PETROS) and chairman of Sarawak Energy Datuk Ibrahim Baki, Deputy Minister (Energy) in the Prime Minister’s Office of Brunei Datuk Seri Paduka Mohamad Azmi Mohd Hanifah, and Sarawak Energy Group chief executive officer Datuk Sharbini Suhaili.

Sharbini said Ramadan serves as a reminder of the values that guide Sarawak Energy in its work with stakeholders and communities across the state.
“Ramadan reminds us of the values of unity, integrity and compassion. As we gather with our partners and stakeholders, we remain committed to delivering reliable and renewable energy, working together to advance the development of Sarawak for the benefit of our communities,” he said.
Guests later performed the Maghrib, Isyak and Tarawih prayers, led by Sarawak Grand Imam Datuk Mustafa Kamal Ahmad Fauzi.
