Uggah inspects progress of RM36.9-million Sungai Paku Bridge

SPAOH: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas inspected the progress of the RM36.9-million Sungai Paku Bridge construction project at Jalan Tanjung Sebekut here today (March 7).

Uggah, who is also Minister for Infrastructure and Port Development as well as Bukit Saban state assemblyman, visited the project site together with officers from several relevant agencies to observe the development of the infrastructure project.

The bridge construction project is supervised by the Betong Division of the Public Works Department (PWD) Malaysia as the supervising authority.

For the implementation of the project, Janje Consulting Engineer has been appointed as the project consultant, while DAL Keluarga Realty Sdn Bhd is the contractor responsible for carrying out the works.

Once completed, the Sungai Paku Bridge is expected to greatly benefit local residents by improving connectivity, enhancing road safety, and supporting economic development in rural areas around Spaoh and the Betong Division.
