KUCHING: Former Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) Kuching news editor Hipni Sulaiman passed away at the age of 68 yesterday (Mar 9).
According to RTM Sarawak, he breathed his last at about 3.15pm at his residence in Kampung Haji Baki.
RTM Sarawak reported that the news of his passing was confirmed by his fourth child, Norasyikin Hipni, yesterday afternoon.
Throughout his career in broadcasting, Hipni held various positions before retiring on Jan 19, 2018.
During his years of service, he worked in several units including radio programming and news editing.
He was also posted to RTM stations in Miri and Kapit before continuing his service at RTM Kuching.
Hipni is survived by his wife and six children.
He was laid to rest at the Kampung Haji Baki Muslim cemetery.
