KUCHING: Continuous rain is expected to affect parts of southern Sarawak until March 11 following current weather conditions, according to Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
In a significant weather outlook issued at 10.30am today, MetMalaysia said a trough line across southern Sarawak, coupled with wind convergence over eastern Sabah, could lead to prolonged rainfall in the affected areas.
As a result, a Continuous Rain Alert (Be Aware) has been issued for southern Sarawak, while eastern Sabah is under a Continuous Rain Warning (Bad).
The advisory is in effect until March 11.
Meanwhile, most areas in Peninsular Malaysia, particularly the northern and interior regions, are expected to experience hotter and drier conditions until March 15, based on weather model analysis.
The public is advised to stay updated through the official MET Malaysia website and its social media platforms, as well as the myCuaca mobile application for the latest verified weather information.
