KUCHING: Junior Chamber International (JCI) Batu Kawa installed Dr. Justine Yong Jenj Qhinn at its 3rd Installation and Induction Ceremony here.
Also officially installed was its board of directors for the upcoming term.
The event was graced by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, whose presence signalled strong support for the collaboration between public institutions, the private sector, and non-governmental organisations in driving community progress.
In her inaugural address, Yong unveiled her 2026 theme, “Just Connect – Connecting Community, Businesses, and Government,” outlining a bold vision for the year ahead.
The theme reflects the organisation’s ambition to build a collaborative ecosystem bringing together young entrepreneurs, SMEs, community leaders, and policymakers.
She said that JCI Batu Kawa aims to create meaningful opportunities and drive sustainable development in alignment with Sarawak’s Post-COVID Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030).
“By connecting government, SMEs, and NGOs, we hope to create solutions that benefit the community and empower the next generation of leaders,” she said.
The newly installed Board of Directors formally pledged their commitment to advancing leadership development, entrepreneurship, and community service across Sarawak.
Key focus areas for the 2026 term include youth leadership programmes, SME collaboration, community impact projects, and strengthened government-private sector partnerships.
