KUALA LUMPUR: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi graced a Hari Raya Aidilfitri gathering at a leading hotel here on Tuesday (Mar 24).
The event, which began at 7.30pm, was also attended by Chief Justice Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh and Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.
Also present were prominent corporate figures, including Tan Sri Bustari Yusuf, Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar and Datuk Mohamed Nizam Abdul Razak.
The gathering was further enlivened by the attendance of Wan Junaidi’s extended family members as well as representatives from various agencies such as the Sarawak Liaison Office Kuala Lumpur, Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka and Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK).
In his welcoming speech, Senior Private Secretary to the Head of State Datuk Seri Syed Hamzah Syed Paie expressed gratitude for the presence of Wan Junaidi and Fauziah despite their busy schedule.
He also welcomed more than 480 invited guests from diverse backgrounds and states, including Perak, Terengganu and Pulau Pinang.
During the event, Wan Junaidi and his wife also presented ‘duit raya’ packets as a token of appreciation to guests, especially children.
