KOTA SAMARAHAN: Sabaki Farm in Kampung Tanjung Tuang has emerged as a model of integrated farming capable of generating income while opening up agro-tourism opportunities in rural areas.
Federal Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Rubiah Wang said the farm, which is located in Kampung Tanjung Tuang, reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to empower the agro sector at the grassroots level.
She added that this resulted that the agriculture sector in Samarahan continues to strengthen as the driver of the community’s economy continues.
“Efforts like this clearly demonstrate the vast potential of the agro sector in generating income and strengthening the community’s economy, particularly in the development of agro-tourism in Kampung Tanjung Tuang
“The integrated farming approach implemented at Sabaki Farm could serve as a model for other communities in optimising land use and existing resources to increase yield and income,” said Rubiah during a visit to Sabaki Farm on Thursday (Mar 26).


The Kota Samarahan MP said Sabaki Farm is not merely an ordinary farm, but rather an integrated project that combines orchid cultivation by the Samarahan Orchid Club along with livestock activities managed in a systematic and sustainable manner.
She also expressed admiration for the beauty and diversity of orchid species cultivated, including unique planting methods either on the ground or among oil palm trees, showcasing the creativity and resilience of local entrepreneurs in advancing the agricultural sector.
Sahe believes that with continuous support from the government and related agencies, more initiatives like this can be expanded, thereby contributing to more sustainable and competitive rural development.
The visit also highlighted the significant potential of Sabaki Farm as an agro-tourism destination capable of attracting visitors and creating new economic opportunities for the local community.
