KUCHING: A total of 580 individuals benefited from a free influenza vaccination programme organised by the Tzu Chi Kuching Liaison Office with support from Pharmaniaga Bhd.
The programme, aimed at promoting preventive healthcare, provided influenza vaccines to Tzu Chi beneficiary families, members of the public, and Tzu Chi volunteers.
Vaccination sessions were held on March 15, March 29 and April 1 at the Tzu Chi Kuching Liaison Office.
Medical professionals from the Tzu Chi International Medical Association (TIMA) administered the vaccines and oversaw related medical procedures, while volunteers assisted with registration, reception and transportation arrangements to ensure the smooth running of the programme.
The initiative highlights the importance of vaccination as an effective measure to reduce the risk of infection, while encouraging the public to prioritise their health and adopt preventive healthcare practices.
The Tzu Chi Kuching Liaison Office also expressed appreciation to Pharmaniaga Bhd for sponsoring the vaccines, as well as to TIMA medical personnel and volunteers for their dedication in ensuring the programme’s success.
The effort, it added, reflects a collective commitment to safeguarding community health through accessible healthcare initiatives.
