KUCHING: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Amar Fadillah Yusof visited Bernama photographer Razali Nordin at Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) today (Apr 5) as he receives treatment for multiple health complications.
Fadillah, accompanied by his wife Datin Amar Ruziah Mohd Tahir, spent time with Razali at the ward, bringing encouragement after weeks of declining health since Ramadan.
Prior to his admission last Friday, Razali had been confined to his home in Taman Sukma, Petra Jaya, as his condition worsened and he was unable to move as usual.
During the visit, Fadillah advised him to follow doctors’ instructions, take medication on schedule and focus on recovery. He also reminded members of the media fraternity to practise a healthy lifestyle.
Razali was brought to hospital following concern from fellow media practitioners over his deteriorating condition, with Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Khui Hian assisting in expediting the admission process.
Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Corporate Affairs, Information and UKAS) Datuk Abdullah Saidol has also been checking on Razali’s condition daily and offering encouragement.
Personnel from the Fire and Rescue Department transported Razali by ambulance to the hospital in what colleagues described as a touching humanitarian effort.
Razali is currently battling several complications, including heart valve problems, gallstones, kidney issues and diabetes, and remains under close medical care.
