KUCHING: Angkatan Zaman Mansang Sarawak (AZAM) is reinforcing its commitment to youth empowerment by leveraging strategic communication initiatives showcased during the ‘Berambeh Raya AZAM 2026’ gathering.
The programme, themed ‘Berambeh Raya: Inklusif Raya, Raikan Bersama’, brought together diverse community groups in Kuching, fostering inclusivity while strengthening ties among key development partners.
“We wanted to emphasise the importance of participatory communication in each initiative that is being held, to ensure that every voice is heard,” said AZAM’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ali Suhaili.
He said this to reporters at Dewan Seri Mahligai here, in conjunction with ‘Berambeh Raya AZAM 2026’ today.
“We are also currently in efforts of expanding communication approaches through various new platforms, including digital content development and youth engagement,” he added.
He noted that the initiative reflects AZAM’s ‘Movement for Progress Creating’ vision, focusing on empowering communities through inclusive and participatory communication approaches.
Among the initiatives highlighted was the ‘Kelaka Belia’ podcast, alongside international youth development programmes and participation in Toastmasters platforms abroad to enhance communication skills.
These efforts aim to broaden Sarawakian youths’ exposure, equipping them with leadership and communication capabilities essential for navigating future challenges in a rapidly changing environment.
Through sustained collaboration with government agencies and strategic partners, AZAM continues to expand its outreach, ensuring its programmes remain impactful, inclusive and aligned with current societal needs.
