SIBU: Junior Chamber International (JCI) Mandarin Sibu, together with its affiliated chapter, JCI Youth Methodist Pilley Institute (MPI), will jointly organise the “Joint Installation Ceremony 2026”, to be held at Hai Bing Seafood Restaurant here on April 18 (Sat) at 6.30 pm.
The ceremony marks a significant milestone for both organisations, symbolising the official transition of leadership to the new Board of Directors.
The organising committee said the ceremony will feature the formal oath-taking and handover, witnessing the rise of a new generation of leaders.
The event will witness JCI Mandarin Sibu outgoing president Alexander Ling officially handing over the presidency to Simon Tiong Yong Yee, who will assume the role of the 2026 Local President of JCI Mandarin Sibu.
Meanwhile, JCI Youth MPI 2025 president Calvin Wong will pass the presidency to Karlfedth Ling as the new 2026 president, leading JCI Youth MPI into its next phase of growth.
The contributions of the outgoing presidents will also be recognised during the ceremony.
According to the organising committee, the event is not only a formal internal ceremony, but also an important platform to strengthen connections among members, alumni, and the wider community.
“It serves to showcase the responsibility and commitment of young leaders, while reinforcing unity and organisational cohesion.
“JCI Mandarin Sibu and JCI Youth MPI will continue to uphold their mission of developing young leaders and creating positive change, moving forward together towards a more impactful future for the community,” the organising committee added.
