KUALA LUMPUR: Petrosains Sdn Bhd is strengthening its collaboration with media partners to amplify science education and storytelling in support of Visit Malaysia 2026.

The initiative was highlighted during a strategic media engagement programme themed “A Memorable Experience with Petrosains”, which brought together key media representatives to strengthen partnerships and enhance public engagement.

Stakeholder Relations and Communications director Shamini Balan said collaboration with the media plays a crucial role in translating education-driven initiatives into impactful national narratives.

“Your presence reflects a shared belief that education, knowledge and storytelling have the power to inspire meaningful change,” she said in her welcoming remarks.

Petrosains noted that both its science discovery centre and the Petronas Twin Towers SkyXperience have evolved beyond traditional attractions into platforms that integrate STEM education with edutourism.

Media participants were given a guided experience of the centre’s latest offerings, including interactive exhibits such as Veloclimb and Hello AI, as well as the Sustainability Gallery, which features immersive zones on urban farming, eco-living and sustainable practices.

The programme also included a visit to Sky Cafe by Maja on Level 83 of the Petronas Twin Towers, recognised by the Malaysian Book of Records, offering a panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur.

Petrosains said the SkyXperience has also strengthened its global standing by being included in the World Federation of Great Towers, reinforcing Malaysia’s position among internationally recognised landmarks.

Beyond its physical exhibitions, the organisation continues to expand its outreach nationwide through initiatives such as Petrosains Tech4All, Petrosains PlaySmart and the Petrosains Discovery Rover, which deliver STEM learning opportunities to underserved and rural communities across Malaysia.

These programmes aim to bridge educational gaps and ensure wider access to science education, particularly in Sabah, Sarawak, Johor and Pahang.

Petrosains added that it will continue working closely with media partners to increase visibility and deepen engagement as part of upcoming initiatives aligned with Visit Malaysia 2026.

The engagement concluded with a renewed call for continued collaboration, positioning Petrosains as a platform that connects science, innovation and storytelling to inspire future generations.
