KUCHING: More than 400 guests gathered at the Dewan Serbaguna CatsFM today for the ‘Ohsem Raya di CATS’ Aidilfitri open house, blending festive celebration with meaningful community outreach.
Deputy Minister of Health and CATS FM’s Executive Director, Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib, attended the event, alongside Kristal Harta Sdn Bhd’s Managing Director, Mohd Iskandar Mohd Nawawi.
The annual open house, organised by CATS FM, brought together strategic partners, listeners and members of the public in a setting aimed at strengthening ties beyond the station’s broadcast reach.
CATS FM’s Programme Manager, Mohamad Fadzli Daud, said the event serves as a platform to engage with those who have continuously supported the station over the years.
“This gathering reflects our efforts to stay connected with our audience while strengthening goodwill within the community,” he added.
During the event, ‘duit raya’ was presented to beneficiaries from one tahfiz centre and four non-governmental organisations.
The tahfiz recipients were from Pondok Hidayatul Mubtadi-iin Wa Tahfidzul Quran, involving 23 students.
Meanwhile, the non-governmental organisations included the Sarawak Disabled Persons Association, Sarawak Society for the Deaf, Sarawak Society for the Blind, and the Melanau Welfare Trust Board of Sarawak.
The contributions highlighted CATS FM’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility, particularly in supporting persons with disabilities and community-based organisations.
