KUCHING: TVS has secured multiple nominations for the VIMA Music Awards 2026, highlighting its growing influence in promoting culturally rich and diverse music productions.
Three productions under its ‘Music and Culture’ segment have earned recognition, making it a milestone for the network’s efforts in championing heritage-driven storytelling through music and artistic collaborations.
“We are proud to see our productions recognised on an international platform, reflecting our commitment to creative excellence and cultural representation,” TVS said in a statement today (April 15).
The festive songs ‘Nostalgia Raya’ by Alia Tenor and Bob Yusof, and ‘Riang Raya’ featuring Alia Tenor, Afif Tenor and Fattah Bolh, were nominated for Best World or Best Ethnic Song.
“These nominations celebrate our dedication to preserving traditions while connecting audiences through meaningful music that resonates across generations and communities,” the statement added.
Another production, ‘Echoes of Prosperity’, received a nomination for Best Chinese Song.
“This recognition reinforces our mission to embrace diversity and tell stories that unite audiences from different cultural backgrounds across Malaysia and beyond,” TVS said.
Voting for the VIMA Music Awards 2026 opened today, with TVS encouraging audiences, supporters and the wider community to participate and cast their votes online.
“Public support plays an important role in this journey, as social media engagement contributes to the overall score, making every vote and share meaningful,” it said.
TVS also expressed appreciation to collaborators, artists and audiences, noting that continued support remains vital in bringing Sarawak and Malaysia’s stories to a global stage.
