PUTRAJAYA: Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki has reminded staff selected to perform the haj pilgrimage to uphold patience and integrity while fulfilling the religious duty.
He said the challenges of performing haj remained unchanged despite the passage of time, making patience an essential quality for every pilgrim.
“I hope all prospective pilgrims will be able to perform the fifth pillar of Islam in the best possible manner and be blessed with a mabrur haj,” he said in a statement issued by the MACC after a ceremony honouring six of its personnel selected for the 1447H/2026 haj season.
Those selected were Policy, Planning and Research Division director Datuk Rasidah Abdul Karim; Perak (Taiping) senior assistant superintendent Ahmad Faiz Hasan; Penang MACC officer Muhammad Faizal Ismail; senior assistant commissioner Ahmad Faiz Hasan; assistant commissioner Haryazi Baharom of the Records and Information Management Division; and Hajar Hashim of the Management Services Division.
At the ceremony organised by the Excellence and Professionalism Division, Azam also presented contributions and souvenirs to the prospective pilgrims as a gesture of appreciation and support, reflecting the MACC’s commitment to staff welfare while nurturing spiritual strength and reinforcing integrity among its officers.
The first group of Malaysian haj pilgrims is scheduled to depart for the Holy Land from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 early tomorrow morning. – BERNAMA
