KOTA BHARU, Kelantan: Kelantan The Real Warriors FC (TRW) suffered a crushing defeat on home turf as Selangor FC inflicted a heavy 6-0 defeat in their Super League clash at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium on Friday night.
From the starting whistle, the visiting squad appeared more aggressive, launching continuous assaults on the hosts’ territory, while Kelantan relied mostly on counter-attacks to find openings.
Kelantan nearly stunned the visitors in the 12th minute, but striker Muhammad Asraf Aliffuddin’s shot from inside the penalty box missed the right of the Selangor goal.
Selangor eventually opened the scoring through Kim Jiho, who calmly finished a chance in the box after the home defence failed to clear the ball cleanly.
Selangor’s momentum continued to peak as Flores Moreas netted two quick goals, scoring first from a penalty in the 30th minute before heading in a third goal three minutes later following a cross from the right flank.
In the second half, Selangor maintained their dominance as Kelantan was punished by an own goal from Alexander Yeoule in the 58th minute, before Alvin Fortes added a fifth goal five minutes later.
Flores completed his hat-trick in the 65th minute to secure Selangor’s sixth goal, effectively wrapping up the match with a stylish victory for the visitors, who clearly dominated throughout the 90 minutes of play. – BERNAMA
