MUKAH: The Mukah Kaul Festival 2026 is set to take on a fresh dimension with the participation of Angkatan Zaman Mansang (AZAM) Sarawak and its youth wing, AZAM Young Souls (AYS), through two high-impact programmes – a 3D Pen Workshop and the Kaul Talent Night.

Both initiatives are strategically designed to bridge the gap between technology and community while nurturing the creative potential of young people in the Mukah District.

The 3D Pen Workshop offers participants a hands-on introduction to 3D printing technology in an accessible, community-friendly setting, encouraging them to push creative boundaries and produce original works.

Meanwhile, the Kaul Talent Night, themed ‘Heritage Meets Creativity’, is expected to be among the festival’s standout highlights, providing a stage for participants to showcase their talents through a blend of local heritage and modern expression.

The event demonstrates how traditional culture can continue to thrive and evolve in the digital age.

AZAM Sarawak’s Chief Executive Officer, Ali Suhaili, said the organisation’s involvement reflects its ongoing commitment to reaching rural communities and broadening access to programmes that integrate education, technology, and culture.

“We want to see more young people step forward with confidence, creativity and the ability to compete – without losing sight of the cultural roots that define who we are,” he said.

Ali added that the convergence of technology and heritage opens new avenues for communities to grow in more inclusive and sustainable ways.

“This approach is not only relevant to current developments, but creates new space for communities to progress more inclusively and resiliently,” he noted.

AZAM Sarawak’s participation is expected to draw broad community involvement, strengthening ties between the agency, local communities and strategic partners.

Through these efforts, AZAM Sarawak continues to cement its role as a connector between technology, creativity and community.

This is in line with its broader mission of shaping a society that is progressive, inclusive and ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
