HYDERABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan has denounced the Israeli occupation regime’s hijacking of the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters as the vessels were heading towards Gaza with humanitarian aid to break the blockade on the enclave.
“I condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the illegal interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters, and the unlawful detention of activists onboard,” Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, said in a post on the social media platform X on Thursday.
“This flagrant violation of international law and deliberate obstruction of humanitarian aid by Israeli occupying power once again demonstrates continued Israeli impunity,” he said, urging the world community to end repeated violations of international law by Israel and lift the blockade of Gaza.
Meanwhile, a joint statement by the foreign ministers of Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Jordan, Libya, Malaysia, Maldives, Pakistan, South Africa, Spain and Turkiye raised concerns about the kidnapping of activists by the Zionist regime’s navy in international waters. – BERNAMA
