LIMBANG: A rapid response by Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia personnel in Limbang helped ensure a 26-year-old woman suffering from severe stomach pain received urgent medical treatment on Wednesday morning.
The woman was reported to be unable to walk when emergency responders were alerted to the incident at Kampung Pemukat at about 9am.
Officials at the district operations control centre said a public distress call was received at 9am, prompting the immediate deployment of the Bravo Squad led by Pbt. (PA) Sylviana Chua.
The four-member team travelled in an ambulance and arrived at the village, about six kilometres away, shortly after mobilisation.
Rescuers found the woman lying down and complaining of acute abdominal pain.
After conducting an initial assessment at the scene, the team transported her to the Limbang Hospital for further treatment.
She arrived safely at the hospital at 9.18am, where medical staff took over her care.
