TEBEDU: A total of 282 Indonesian nationals were deported through a coordinated repatriation exercise at the Semuja Immigration Depot here on Wednesday (May 7).
The operation, carried out by the Sarawak Immigration Department with the Indonesian Consulate General (KJRI) in Kuching, involved detainees who had completed their sentences.
Those deported comprised 220 men, 49 women, nine boys and four girls.
The transfer was conducted under strict supervision to ensure a smooth and secure process.
The department said it will continue working closely with foreign missions to streamline deportation efforts and ensure compliance with immigration laws.
