KUCHING: The Rentap Fighting Championship (RFC) is set to ignite Karisma Arena on Saturday (May 16) with a packed lineup of Muay Thai contests featuring rising local talents and elite international fighters.
The highly anticipated event, which will be held at Karisma Arena in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, promises a full day of action beginning at 8:30 am with amateur and semi-professional bouts before culminating in the Super International Pro Fight Card at 8:00 pm.
Organisers, in a statement, also announced that the event will offer free public entry, allowing fans and supporters to experience the excitement of live Muay Thai action throughout the day and evening.
“For audiences unable to attend in person, the championship will be streamed live for free on the official Rentap Fighting Championship Facebook page and YouTube channel, bringing the event to viewers across Malaysia and internationally.
“Rentap Fighting Championship aims to strengthen the growth of Muay Thai in Southeast Asia while creating opportunities for fighters to compete on an international platform,” read the statement.
Spectators can expect exciting fights, professional production, and an atmosphere celebrating the tradition and intensity of Muay Thai.
Rentap Fighting Championship is committed to elevating Muay Thai and creating opportunities for athletes at every level.
“From amateur competition to international professional bouts, this event represents the passion and continued growth of combat sports in Malaysia.
“The championship is expected to attract fight fans, sports media, and members of the martial arts community from across the region,” the statement said.
Representing Rentap Muaythai Gym are Sarawak-based fighters, namely Elias Ghazali, who will take on Indonesia’s Agung Wahyudi in the main event bout, and Mia Ghazali, who will face Thailand’s Airy in the Muay Thai 42kg International Bout.
Meanwhile, Rentap x Phoenix Muaythai’s Sarawakian fighter, Hasbullah Mood, will battle Selangor’s Haris Haiqal for the WBC Bantamweight National Title.
