KUCHING: Kuching City FC have called on Sarawakians across the country to turn Bukit Jalil National Stadium into a sea of green and white this Saturday (May 23) as the club prepares for the biggest match in its history.
The Cats will face Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) FC in the 2025/2026 Malaysia Cup final.
In a statement posted on the club’s social media platforms today (May 20), Kuching City urged supporters from across Malaysia, especially those based in West Malaysia, to unite in full force behind the team ahead of the historic showdown.
The club described the supporters as the heartbeat and driving force behind the squad throughout their remarkable run to the final.
“We call on all Sarawakians, whether in West Malaysia, Sarawak or Sabah, to come together and fill Bukit Jalil National Stadium with green and white colours to bring the spirit of the Land of the Hornbills to the final stage,” the statement said.
The rallying message stressed that the final represents more than just a football match, but a proud milestone for Sarawak football as the club aims to cap off its extraordinary campaign on a high note.
“Let us prove that Sarawak supporters will always stand firmly behind the pride of the state,” it added.
The final marks another major milestone in Kuching City’s rise in Malaysian football, with the club earning widespread praise this season for its spirited performances and historic run to the title match.
