KUCHING: KelakaBelia Podcast continues its role as a progressive youth communication platform by making the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) more relatable to Gen Z.

The episode, recorded today at the office of Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Law, MA63 and State-Federal Relations) Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali here, marked her first appearance on the youth-focused platform organised by AZAM Sarawak in collaboration with Ibrandium, a digital media and branding company.

The discussion explored how MA63 is linked to the future of Sarawakian youth, particularly in areas such as education, employment opportunities, economic growth, digital transformation, state autonomy and long-term development.

Hasidah said MA63 should not be viewed merely as a historical document, but as a foundation that shapes Sarawak’s future direction and opportunities.

She also highlighted the importance of engaging young people through digital platforms and social media, in line with changing communication trends.

“That is why the government today is also moving alongside current developments through digital platforms, new media and strategic initiatives such as the Sarawak Semiconductor agenda to ensure young people are exposed to future employment opportunities, talent development and innovation in technology and the digital economy,” she said.

She added that platforms such as KelakaBelia play an important role in helping youth understand state issues in a more relaxed and meaningful manner.

Meanwhile, AZAM Sarawak chief executive officer Ali Suhaili said KelakaBelia was created to bridge important state matters with youth perspectives through engaging and accessible content.

AZAM Sarawak manager of strategic communication, youth and media relations Mohd Hassnal Hakim Junaidi said the podcast format allows topics such as MA63 to be delivered in a way that is more relevant and relatable to younger audiences.

KelakaBelia Podcast is scheduled to premiere next Saturday at 8 pm across its official social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads and YouTube, while the audio version will also be available on Apple Podcast and Spotify.
