KUALA LUMPUR: Alam Maritim Resources Bhd (AMRB) has received approval from Bursa Malaysia for the early upliftment of its Practice Note 17 (PN17) status, effective 9:00 am on June 8, 2026.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, it said this followed the company’s announcement dated May 18, 2026, in relation to the company’s submission of the application to Bursa Malaysia for the early upliftment of AMRB from its PN17 status pursuant to Paragraph 8.04(8) of the Listing Requirements.
“On behalf of the board, Berjaya Securities wishes to announce that Bursa Malaysia had, vide its letter dated June 5, 2026, approved the application for the early upliftment of AMRB from being classified as a PN17 issuer.
Previously on November 1, 2022, AMRB was admitted into PN17 after triggering the prescribed criteria pursuant to Paragraph 8.04 and Paragraph 2.1(d) of PN17 of the Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia.
The PN17 prescribed criteria were triggered as AMRB’s external auditors, Baker Tilly Monteiro Heng PLT, had expressed a disclaimer of opinion in the company’s audited financial statements for the financial period ended June 30, 2022, announced on October 31, 2022. – BERNAMA
