KUCHING: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) will discontinue its remittance counters at all branches nationwide beginning Jul 1 as part of its move towards digital payment services.
According to national news reports, contribution payments will be made fully through digital and alternative channels following the closure of the counters.
In a statement, EPF said other service counters at its branches would continue operating as usual.
“Members can make payments via the EPF i-Akaun mobile application, internet banking, bank agent counters, Self-Service Terminals (SSTs), and other available channels.
“Employers are encouraged to use the i-Akaun (Employer) portal for contribution payments,” it said.
The retirement fund stressed that the closure of remittance counters would not affect members’ or employers’ ability to make payments, as multiple alternative payment channels remain accessible nationwide.
