SIBU: Warmonger Training Academy maintained its unbeaten start to 2026 after all three of its fighters emerged victorious at the Sibu Amateur Muaythai Challenge.
The clean sweep extended the Miri-based gym’s impressive run following its successful showing at the TYT Cup in Kuching earlier this year.
Leading the charge was Ethan Tsen Yun Kiong, who secured a first-round stoppage victory in the 57-60kg division.
Muhammad Saifuddin Halek added to the tally with a unanimous decision win following a composed display in the 58-61kg category.
Danny Huang Hong Peng completed the perfect outing for Warmonger, claiming a unanimous decision victory and the division trophy in the 54-57kg category.
Head coach, Trevor Salang, credited the results to the athletes’ commitment and preparation.
“Our athletes have shown great commitment in training and it is encouraging to see that reflected in competition.
“Every fight is a learning experience and these victories show that the team is progressing in the right direction,” he told Sarawak Tribune.
Salang also acknowledged the support of teammates, families and supporters who continue to play a role in the athletes’ development.
With another successful outing in the books, Warmonger will now turn its attention to upcoming competitions as it continues to develop muaythai talent in Sarawak and provide athletes with valuable competitive experience.
