KUALA LUMPUR: Investors now have a new route to Bursa Malaysia share exposure through Affin Hwang’s Equity-Linked Investments.

Affin Hwang Investment Bank Berhad (Affin Hwang) launched the products at Menara AFFIN @ TRX on June 16, providing investors with customised exposure to a broad range of underlying assets while supporting different market and risk-return objectives.

At present, the Equity-Linked Investments (ELIs) offered by Affin Hwang are linked to individual shares listed on Bursa Malaysia.

The bank said ELIs are designed to support a range of wealth management strategies by allowing clients to calibrate their market exposure through customised structures.

“Through these structures, investors can pursue specific portfolio objectives, including enhancing potential yield, managing downside exposure and targeting defined return outcomes,” it said.

Affin Hwang Investment Bank Berhad chief executive officer Hanif Ghulam Mohammed said the launch expands the bank’s ability to deliver tailored solutions aligned with clients’ market views, investment horizon and risk appetite.

“We are pleased to launch ELIs, expanding our ability to deliver tailored solutions that align with our clients’ market views, investment horizon and risk appetite.

“These structures are designed to turn market volatility into an advantage, enhancing yield while providing a more efficient way to access underlying securities at attractive entry levels.

“With clearly defined risk parameters and improved income potential, ELIs strengthen our clients’ ability to navigate dynamic markets with greater confidence and precision,” he said.

The bank said the expansion of its structured product capabilities supports the AFFIN Axelerate 2028 Plan.

By strengthening its wealth management and multiasset platform, Affin Hwang said it is advancing the group’s strategic pillars of Unrivalled Customer Service, Digital Leadership and Responsible Banking with Impact.

“ELIs are subject to the terms and conditions of each product, the performance of the relevant underlying assets and associated investment risks.

“Investors are advised to review the relevant product documentation before making an investment decision.”
