SIBU: It was anything but an ordinary morning commute for motorists in town here after a naked man was spotted at a busy traffic light intersection, leaving traffic and onlookers momentarily stunned.
The man, believed to be a local and suffering from mental health issues, reportedly wandered into the intersection along Jalan Dr Wong Soon Kai this morning (June 29).
He later began gesturing as though directing traffic before sitting in the middle of the road while behaving erratically.
The unusual incident quickly drew the attention of motorists, with many taking videos and photographs while stopping at the traffic light. The videos and photos were later circulated widely on social media.
It was understood that the man had already been taken away by a friend before police arrived at the scene.
The viral videos have since prompted an outpouring of reactions online, with many expressing concerns for the man’s wellbeing and the danger the incident posed to motorists and other road users.
Previously, the man had been seen in a residential area, where he climbed onto the roof of a house, alarming residents.
