KUCHING: AirBorneo Airways (AirBorneo) has opened ticket sales for its new Kuching to Kuala Lumpur route, with promotional one way fares starting from RM375 for Economy Class and RM736 for Business Class.

Bookings open from 7am (Jul 7), while flights will commence on Jul 20.

The airline said the route would operate twice daily between Kuching International Airport and Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1, offering greater connectivity for both leisure and business travellers.

AirBorneo chief executive officer Megat Ardian Aminuddin said the Kuala Lumpur route marked an important step in the airline’s expansion as it strengthened Sarawak’s connectivity with the rest of Malaysia and international destinations.

“The opening of ticket sales for our Kuala Lumpur route marks an important milestone in AirBorneo’s growth journey as we continue strengthening Sarawak’s connectivity with the rest of Malaysia and beyond.

“Kuala Lumpur is a strategic gateway that expands access to wider domestic and international destinations, creating greater opportunities for tourism, trade, investment and business,” he said in a statement.

He said the introduction of the ‘Sarawakku Sayang’ promotional fares reflected the airline’s commitment to providing safe, reliable and affordable air travel while supporting Sarawak’s tourism and economic growth.

He added that the Kuala Lumpur service represented the first phase of AirBorneo’s long term network expansion plans.

Tickets are available exclusively through AirBorneo’s official website and mobile application.

The inaugural commercial flight on July 20 will operate from Kuala Lumpur to Kuching, with 100 seats available for public sale, while regular twice daily services in both directions will begin on Jul 21.
