KIGALI, Rwanda: Ten people were killed after a quarry collapsed in a village in eastern Rwanda’s Bugesera district, police said on Friday, reported Xinhua.

The accident occurred on Thursday in Nyamabuye village, Ntarama sector, when the quarry caved in on workers extracting of construction materials, including sand and stones, police told local media.

The collapse buried the workers under the debris, killing 10 people, police said.
