KUCHING : Tanjong Lobang College (TLC) Ex-Students Welfare Association aims to establish its own building, as part of the associations long term aspiration.
TLC Ex-Students Welfare Association president Datuk Mohammed Sepuan Anu said the proposed building would serve as an administrative office and activity centre.
“It is our sincere hope that one day our association will have its own building that can become a centre for our operations and community activities.
“The facility would enable us to coordinate welfare programmes more efficiently, strengthen engagement among alumni and create sustainable sources of income to support our future intiatives,” he said during his speech at the TLC Ex-Students Welfare Association Reunion cum Fundraising Dinner on Saturday (July 11).
He said the association is committed to managing its resources prudently to ensure its programmes and welfare initiatives remain sustainable in the long term.
“Our hope is to establish a strong and responsible association that manages its funds wisely and responsibly for the future.
“We do not want to remain at the stage of merely planning. Instead, we aspire to build a lasting foundation that will enable our members to continue serving the community effectively,” he said.
Describing the reunion as more than a social gathering, Mohammed Sepuan said it reflected the alumni’s enduring bond and their shared commitment to giving back.
“It is a gathering of friendship, gratitude and a humble commitment born out of our love for this place,” he said.
The reunion concluded with TLC alumni and their families rekindling old friendships while reaffirming their commitment to supporting the association’s future growth through the fundraising initiative.
