KUCHING: Magnum Bhd (Magnum) has reaffirmed its commitment to the Kuching Festival Food Fair 2026 with a RM45,000 sponsorship.
Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor, Datuk Wee Hong Seng, said the contribution reflects Magnum’s long-standing commitment to the annual festival, having supported the event for more than 20 years.
Wee also expressed appreciation to Magnum for its unwavering support over the past two decades, adding that the council looks forward to strengthening the valued partnership in the years ahead.
“Partnerships such as the one we celebrate today demonstrate how the public and private sectors can work together to build a vibrant and thriving city.
“On behalf of MBKS, I would like to thank Magnum for being one of our longest-standing corporate partners.
“For more than 20 years, Magnum has continuously supported the Kuching Festival, and we deeply appreciate your commitment in making this annual celebration a success,” he said during the sponsorship handover ceremony at MBKS here today (July 15).
Wee said that this year’s Kuching Festival Food Fair will be held from July 22 to August 16, featuring 314 stalls offering a wide variety of local and international food, beverages and products.
He said the festival will be officially opened on July 24 with a fireworks display to mark the occasion and provide visitors with a memorable experience.
Among the festival’s signature attractions is the Chinese Home Cook Delicacy Corner, where nine Chinese clan associations will take turns showcasing authentic home-cooked dishes and culinary traditions passed down through generations.
“Bring your family and friends, enjoy the wonderful food, experience the vibrant atmosphere, and don’t miss the Official Opening Ceremony on 24 July, followed by a magnificent fireworks display that will light up the skies over Kuching,” he said.
Also present were Vice-President 2 and Regional Head of Magnum 4D ENE (East Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Liew Kee Chuan; MBKS Deputy Mayor, Datuk Zaiedi Suhaili; and other distinguished guests.
