MIRI: An attempt by two men to break into a house at Jalan Cahaya here in the wee hours of yesterday morning was foiled when an alarm system was triggered.
In the 1.00am incident, the suspects tried to break into the house through the back door when the alarm was set off.
One of the occupants of the house was awaken by the sound of the alarm coming from the kitchen.
He got up to check the CCTV recording to see what had set off the alarm and saw footage of a bare-footed an d masked man dressed in all white.
The man was trying to force open the kitchen door but fled with an accomplice when the alarm was triggered.
It was not known at press time whether the houseowner had lodge a police report.
