SIBU: The Sarawak State Library (Pustaka) Sibu will host its Customer Day on Aug 22 and 23 at the Orange Zone, Star Mega Mall here, bringing a wide range of educational, interactive and community-focused activities directly to the public.
The two-day programme, which runs from 10am to 7pm, is part of the library’s ongoing commitment to strengthening community engagement while showcasing the extensive services, facilities, collections and initiatives available to the public.
Designed to make library resources more accessible beyond its physical premises, Pusaka Sibu said the programme aims to raise public awareness of the library’s role as a centre for knowledge, lifelong learning and community development.
It also seeks to encourage greater public participation in the diverse programmes and services offered by Pustaka.
Visitors can look forward to an exciting lineup of activities, including exhibitions, competitions, knowledge-sharing talks, quizzes and other interactive sessions designed to create an engaging and enjoyable learning experience for people of all ages.
The event will also provide an opportunity for members of the public to learn more about the library’s collections, digital resources, educational programmes and community initiatives, while interacting directly with library personnel and discovering services that support learning, research and personal development.
“By bringing the programme to one of Sibu’s busiest shopping destinations, Pusaka hopes to reach a broader audience and inspire more people to embrace reading, lifelong learning and active community participation.
