BINTULU: ISUZU Malaysia Sdn Bhd (IMSB), through its Sarawak dealer partner KM Mobil Sdn Bhd, has handed over the remaining units of its GIGA EXR52UU (EXR420) Manual Transmission prime mover trucks to three logistics companies in East Malaysia.

The recipients were Bintulu Container Services Sdn Bhd, Perfect Drive Logistics Sdn Bhd and Reliable Status Sdn Bhd, with each company receiving one unit during a handover ceremony at the KM Mobil ISUZU showroom here recently.

The ceremony was attended by IMSB chief operating officer Masashi Nuijima and KM Mobil regional manager Kenn Tan.

Nuijima said the ISUZU GIGA EXR prime mover had been designed to meet the demands of long-haul transportation, cargo operations and tanker services by combining powerful engine performance with durability, efficiency and safety.

“The ISUZU GIGA EXR prime movers were built for long-haul transport, cargo and tanker operations through their powerful engine horsepower and robust design, delivering superior performance, efficiency and a safer driving experience.

“Our GIGA truck range has played a key role in Malaysia’s development and construction industries while contributing significantly to the success of both our customers and our brand,” he said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Tan thanked customers for their continued confidence in the ISUZU brand.

He said the trust placed in the company reflected the strength of its long-term relationships with customers.

“On behalf of KM Mobil, I would like to thank all our customers who have chosen the GIGA EXR prime movers to support their demanding haulage operations. We remain committed to serving their future transportation needs,” he said.

The trucks delivered represent the final remaining units from the ISUZU GIGA Prime series, which has served the Malaysian commercial vehicle market for several years.

Nuijima said ISUZU remained committed to maintaining its leadership in the truck market by introducing newer powertrains equipped with advanced technologies to help customers improve operational efficiency.

He said the company would continue expanding its commercial vehicle offerings to meet the evolving needs of the logistics and haulage industry while supporting carbon neutrality initiatives.

Currently, IMSB offers one of the broadest commercial vehicle line-ups in Malaysia.

The company sold more than 6,880 commercial vehicles in 2025, retaining its position as Malaysia’s top light-duty truck brand for the 16th consecutive year and the country’s overall leading truck brand for the 12th consecutive year.

Looking ahead, IMSB said it aims to deliver greater value in transportation solutions in line with its global “ISUZU ID” corporate philosophy by introducing new technologies that support business efficiency, sustainability and the transition towards lower-carbon transport.
