SIBU: A new KEMAS kindergarten block in Kampung Bahagia Jaya Teku here is set to be completed in April next year to improve access to quality early childhood education for the local community.
Sarawak Public Works Department (PWD) said construction began on Feb 11 this year at Lot 3311, Block 6, Seduan Land District, Jalan Bahagia Lorong Bahagia 3.
The project involves the construction of a KEMAS kindergarten block comprising twin classrooms.
“Upon completion, the new facility will provide a more comfortable, safe and conducive learning environment for preschool children.
“It will also improve access to quality preschool education, support children’s early development and provide better educational facilities for parents and the surrounding community,” it said in a Facebook post.
