KUCHING: BioVerde Technologies Sdn Bhd (BVT) has expanded its NatureSara brand into social commerce with the launch of its TikTok Shop to widen nationwide access to Sarawak-inspired biodiversity products.

The expansion coincides with the official launch of the Harum Pertiwi campaign, a nationwide initiative celebrating the rich natural heritage of Sarawak and Malaysia through locally inspired botanical products and fragrances centred on Phalaenopsis bellina, locally known as the Normah Orchid.

The campaign runs from Jul 22 to Sept 16 in conjunction with Hari Sarawak, Hari Kebangsaan (Merdeka), and Hari Malaysia.

Inspired by the meaning of Harum Pertiwi or “The Fragrance of Our Homeland”, the campaign promotes greater appreciation of locally developed bio-based products derived from Sarawak’s unique biodiversity.

Throughout the campaign, customers can purchase a curated range of NatureSara products including essential oils, personal care products, room fragrances and gift sets inspired by Borneo’s botanicals and natural scents.

The TikTok Shop, known as NatureSara by BVT, will offer customers across Malaysia greater access to the company’s biodiversity-based products alongside exclusive online promotions, live shopping sessions, product demonstrations and educational content.

BVT chief executive officer Hazwan Razak said the campaign celebrates Sarawak’s biodiversity, communities and innovation by transforming nature into products with real value.

“Through NatureSara and TikTok Shop, we are making locally developed biodiversity-based products more accessible to Malaysians while showcasing the richness of Sarawak’s natural heritage.

“As we celebrate Hari Sarawak, Hari Merdeka and Hari Malaysia, we hope this initiative inspires greater appreciation for our biodiversity and the growing role it plays in shaping Sarawak’s bioeconomy,” he said in a statement issued by BVT today.

BVT, the commercial arm of the Sarawak Biodiversity Council, is entrusted with developing Sarawak’s bio-based industry by transforming scientific research and local natural resources into high-value products that benefit consumers, communities and the wider bioeconomy.
