SARIKEI: The ‘Sarawakku Sayang’ (SKS) 2026 programme here is targeting 30,000 visitors over its three-day run from August 7 to 9.

Deputy State Secretary (Operations), Datuk Hii Chang Kee, said the target was based on the encouraging response received at previous stops of the statewide programme.

“We are confident of achieving the target based on the response at earlier locations. We welcome residents of Sarikei and neighbouring divisions to join us in making SKS 2026 a success,” he was quoted as saying in a report by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS).

He said this after chairing the final coordination meeting for the ‘Sarawakku Sayang 2026’ programme at the Sarikei Sports Complex here today.

Hii said organisers expected about 5,000 visitors daily, with attendance anticipated to peak on the programme’s final day.

To attract more visitors, organisers have prepared 82 lucky draw prizes throughout the event, including a 916 gold bracelet worth RM15,000 as the grand prize.

Visitors can participate by registering through the e-Contest platform, completing the required details and answering several questions related to the programme.

Lucky draws will be held daily from 4 pm, while the grand prize winner will be announced during the closing ceremony on Aug 9.
