Born on August 4, 1950, in Limbang, Abang Johari was raised with an enduring commitment to public service.
He is the youngest son of Tun Abang Openg Abang Sapiee, Sarawak’s first Head of State.
Beginning his political journey in youth movements during the 1970s, he built decades of distinguished public service across key ministerial portfolios before assuming state leadership as Premier in 2017.
