KUCHING: A young singer from Sarawak is one step closer to realising her dream of performing on one of the world’s biggest talent show stages after being invited to audition for the 20th season of Britain’s Got Talent in London.
Taylor Louise received the invitation after her application and audition video were selected by the programme’s producers.
Under the show’s application process, submitting an application does not guarantee an audition, with invitations extended only to selected applicants following a review.
Taylor is scheduled to audition in London on Sept 5.
Sharing the news on social media, the aspiring singer said she was still trying to come to terms with the invitation.
“I’m truly happy, humbled, deeply grateful, excited and honestly still in shock to have finally received an invitation to audition for Britain’s Got Talent in London after my application was selected.
“I know it’s only the beginning of the journey and it’s just an audition, but if God opens this door, I would be so honoured to share a little voice from Sarawak, Malaysia with the world,” she said.
Despite not yet knowing how she will make the trip to London, Taylor said she believes God will provide a way if it is meant to be.
“I have no idea yet how I’ll get there, but I believe that if this is God’s plan, He will make a way,” she said.
Taylor also thanked her family, teachers, vocal coach and everyone who has supported her musical journey, while asking for continued prayers as she prepares for the audition.
If successful at the audition, Taylor will move a step closer to appearing before the judges of Britain’s Got Talent, carrying with her the hopes of representing both Sarawak and Malaysia on an international stage.
