SARIKEI: Sarawakians can access various government services, information and direct feedback under one roof through the ‘Sarawakku Sayang’ (SKS) programme.
State Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, said the programme brings government agencies directly to the community, making it easier for the public to obtain services without having to visit different locations.
“Through this programme, we go to the people and inform them of the services available, while they can also get immediate answers and feedback on various matters,” he said in a news report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS).
He said this during the pre-launch of the ‘Sarawakku Sayang’ Sarikei Division 2026 programme at the Sarikei Sports Complex here today.
Abu Bakar said preparations were progressing smoothly ahead of the programme’s official launch by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg tomorrow (August 8).
He said the response from the public had been encouraging, with counters offering information on education and employment opportunities among those attracting visitors.
According to him, information on career opportunities could also help youths explore employment in the public and private sectors, including the application process and available career pathways.
Also present were Deputy State Secretary (Economic Planning and Development), Datuk Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel; Deputy State Secretary (Operations), Datuk Hii Chang Kee; Deputy State Secretary (Administration), Datuk Felicia Tan Ya Hua; and heads of departments.
