KOTA SAMARAHAN: A local man was left injured after the palm oil lorry he was driving skidded off the road at the Kampung Baru roundabout, Jalan Datuk Mohd Musa this morning (Aug 9).
The victim, whose identity was not known, suffered injuries to his head and left shoulder in the overturned lorry.
Firefighters from Kota Samarahan station were dispatched to the scene following a distress call at 9.50 am.
Upon arrival, the team administered initial treatment for the victim before taking him to the Sarawak Heart Centre for further medical attention.
They also conducted flushing works to remove oil spill on the road, which could have posed a hazard to other motorists.
Once the situation was deemed safe, rescuers ended the operations at 10.12 am.
