WASHINGTON: SpaceXAI, the artificial intelligence arm of United States (US) space company SpaceX, has announced the launch of Grok Bot AI agents that can run on a client’s computer in the background until they complete a task, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
“Today we’re launching Grok Bot, AI teammates you can give real work to. Bots have their own computer. They sign into the tools you already use and work across apps, inboxes, and more.
“They finish jobs end to end, and only come back when something needs your approval,” SpaceXAI said in a statement on Tuesday.
The bots will operate 24/7, the statement read, adding that the users can message them like teammates and adjust their actions.
Users will not have to act as intermediaries between the bots. They can either delegate tasks to the main bot, which will distribute them among the others, or create a shared chat with all the bots “where they can coordinate on their own,” the statement said.
The product page states that Grok Bot is available to individuals for US$200 per month and to businesses for US$120 per user per month.
Grok Bot enters a market where there is growing interest in AI agents capable of doing more than just generating text or code.
For example, Anthropic introduced the technology in 2024, while its Claude Cowork agent, launched in January 2026, allows Claude models to control programmes through screenshots and clicks.
However, unlike Grok Bot, these products are less focused on the 24/7 operation of several specialised bots, each with its own cloud computer, and autonomous coordination among them.
