JAKARTA: An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 jolted the Flores Region in Indonesia early Saturday, the country’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) said, Xinhua reported.
The epicentre was located off the north coast of Flores Island at a shallow depth of 15 kilometres, the agency said.
A tsunami warning was issued for coastal areas following the quake, it added. – BERNAMA-XINHUA
