KUALA LUMPUR: Great Eastern Takaful Bhd (GETB) on Saturday (Aug. 15) launched i-Great Mega Plus, a family takaful and protection plan to help Malaysians strengthen their financial position while building a meaningful legacy for future generations.
Guided by the product proposition ‘Where Protection Meets Legacy’, i-Great Mega Plus offers a comprehensive solution that combines protection, savings, wealth accumulation, and legacy planning in a single plan.
Great Eastern Takaful’s appointed representative, Jasveen Marne, said financial planning should go beyond protecting today’s needs; it should empower individuals and families to build, preserve and pass on a meaningful legacy.
“i-Great Mega Plus was specially developed to fulfil this aspiration by combining substantial protection, long-term wealth accumulation opportunities and legacy planning features in a single solution,” she said in a statement on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Great Eastern Takaful’s Head of Marketing, Rashida Mior Ahmad Darwish, said the plan also offers the option of waqf and conditional hibah to assist participants in wealth transfer planning and financial protection.
“This plan enables participants to dedicate a pre-agreed portion of their death benefit to appointed waqf institutions, nominate beneficiaries under conditional hibah, or both.
“It also enables participants to contribute to charitable causes, ensuring their values and contributions continue to benefit future generations,” she said.
i-Great Mega Plus offers a minimum basic coverage amount of RM300,000, along with opportunities to build long-term value through professionally managed investment-linked funds.
The plan also provides maturity benefits, loyalty benefits credited every five certificate years during the contribution payment term, and accidental death benefits of up to 300 per cent of the Basic Sum Covered.
In conjunction with the launch, Great Eastern Takaful will introduce the Emas Vaganza Campaign, which runs until September 30, 2026.
Customers will have the opportunity to receive 999.99 gold, symbolising the lasting security that both gold and takaful can provide amid life’s uncertainties.
“Customers who sign up for any of the six selected plans during the campaign period stand a chance to receive Habib Jewels gold bars weighing up to 10 grammes, making their journey towards greater financial security more meaningful and rewarding,” it said. – BERNAMA
