SELANGOR: Siblings Awang Sharzan Nasrin and Dayang Nursharzyra saved their best for last, producing a stunning final dive to clinch mixed 3m synchro gold for Sarawak at SUKMA XXII Selangor 2026 today.
The Sarawak duo finished with a total of 235.32 points after five rounds, edging their closest challengers from the Federal Territory, Teng Hui Xue and Yong Rui Jie, who settled for silver with 224.13 points.
Selangor’s Jainnah and Aeriel Riezqi completed the podium with 216.36 points.
Awang Sharzan and Dayang Nursharzyra got off to a steady start, scoring 40.80 points in their opening dive before adding 35.40 points in the second round for a combined 76.20 points.


They then began their climb up the standings with 50.22 points in the third round before producing another solid effort worth 50.40 points in the fourth round.
The result left the Sarawak siblings on 176.82 points heading into the decisive final round.
With the gold medal still within reach, they delivered their best dive of the competition, scoring 58.50 points to finish with 235.32 points and seal the title.
The victory capped a composed performance by the siblings, who kept their focus throughout the five-round final before producing when it mattered most.
